LIVER CANCER.

Liver source of cancer is statistically the second hardest Cancer to treat after Pancreatic cancer and slightly harder that Lung Cancer. Statistically only 17% of Liver Cancer patients are still alive, 5 years after diagnosis.

Liver cancer is also the 6th most common form of cancer. In 2012 Liver Cancer occured in 782,000 paople leading to 746,000 deaths. It is the 3rd biggest biggest killer behind Lung and just behind Stomach cancer.

The main cause of Liver Cancer are Cirrhosis due to Hepatitis B and C, and alcohol. In 2013 300,000 deaths were from Hepatitis B, 343,000 Hepatitus C and 92,000 from Alcohol.

Between 1990 and 2013 there has been an increase in the number of Liver Cancer patients of 70%, making it one of the fastest growing forms of cancer.
